On The Creative Side Of User Interface

As a designer by heart, I’ve always been trying to twist Windows’ dull interface. Through the years I tried different shells and desktops. Some of them really changed the way Windows looked, but after some time, they started to feel awkward. I remember one of Aston‘s themes, that replaced my old desktop so obtrusively, it rendered all items I had on it unusable. Why would someone design it like that?! I don’t know, but it didn’t take long before I uninstalled it.

But sometimes someone just shows the right perspective. User interface shown above almost made me shit my pants. With a smile.
