I am a crossbrowser compatibility geek ever since 1997. I spin various browsers on my computer – Safari, Internet Explorer 6 and 7, Opera and Firefox. Couple of years ago I gave up on Netscape and Mozilla. I also tried IE Tester, but found out it has serious trouble with its IE 6 interpreter under certain conditions, so I preferred to stay with the standalone version.

Except for Firefox, I use the rest just for testing purposes. Safari seems to be happy with the way I do things, so no testing extensions are needed (to be honest, I don’t even know if there are any. And I don’t seem to care enough, either), and its the same with Opera. IE, as you know, is not so easy to please. Especially when versions 6 and 7 speak kind of different language. So I have added Web Developer Toolbar for Internet Explorer to both.

Firefox, on the other hand, is my primary browser. And during the years I tried to make it comfortable both for work and browsing.

Vital accompaniment to the developer toolbar. Get this right away, too!

MeasureIt
Sometimes you just need to know the exact width or height of something. Especially of this naughty content block that just doesn’t want to fit where it should.

ColorZilla
Color picking at its best. And website color analyzer is truly amazing. Bravo! Just… that “zilla” thing sucks badly. Shows lack of imagination, you know.
